Our method of training incorporates 3 different modalities; Speed & Agility, Strength, and Recovery. Combining these 3 methods during athletes off season allows them to see steady improvement and avoid training plateaus throughout the training cycle. However, if an athlete is in season there is an emphasis on Strength and Flexibility giving them the best opportunity to play at the top of their game toward the end of the season.

DESCRIPTION

Youth Speed training classes are an hour long and focus on speed, agility, coordination and body weight strength exercises. By teaching youth athletes how to sprint and cut with proper mechanics, athletes will build a strong fundamental foundation. One of the most important keys to the foundation of an athlete that is neglected at all levels is balance & stability. By developing these abilities at a young age, athletes will have better control over their bodies as they progress, increasing the ability to accelerate faster, decelerate faster, change direction quicker, react faster and help decrease the risk of injury.

 

Rookie  & All STar

(Improving fundamental athletics abilities and Self - Esteem for ages 7 - 12)

DESCRIPTION

Most young athletes are forced to develop their own running technique; no one ever teaches them proper arm action, knee drive, body angle, or foot positioning. At Revolution Athletics, we believe that teaching young athletes the fundamentals of running at any early age will enable them to easily pick up on more advanced techniques as they progress, and help them to avoid injuries throughout their athletics careers. Most importantly, as athletes learn these basics in a fun yet structured setting, they build their self confidence, which leads to more production both on the field and in  the classroom!

Each of our training sessions spans 1 hour. Class begins with an active dynamic warm - up, which properly activates and strengthens the various muscles that will be used in training. This helps to prevent injury and correct and muscle imbalances or weaknesses that an athlete may possess. Classes are held six days a week, giving our athletes the opportunity to choose the schedule that best works for them.

Upon registering for classes, all athletes must undergo a mandatory evaluation process, which assesses the athletes strengths and weaknesses. Based on this evaluation, athletes are placed in the performance group that best addresses their athletic needs.

Athletes in our Rookie group, will learn the basic fundamentals of acceleration & Change of Direction workouts. This group usually consists of athletes ranging from 9 - 11 years old, but athletes are not restricted to this group based on their age. After Mastering the Rookie basics, athletes become All Star’s.

Our All- Star athletes continue to work with the basic fundamentals of Acceleration & Change of Direction workout’s in an increasingly intense setting, where classes consist of more strength exercises and include different styles of resistance and advanced coordination. This group usually consists of athletes ages 11 - 13 but athletes are again not restricted based on their age.

An athletes foundation defines their future potential! Starting with our Rookie & Pro programs can give athletes a head start on their competition.

DESCRIPTION

These are the most crucial years for all athletes, the time when an athlete has the greatest opportunity to build strength , power, and speed to stand out in their sport. This is the time to strengthen weaknesses and correct flaws in technique, before the become bad habits that are very hard to change. Maximizing progress while focusing on proper technique helps athletes build skills and prevent injuries.

Our Pro program is constantly evolving to utilize the latest techniques and equipment, advancing any athletes game beyond the next level!

Athletes in our Pro group have experience training and are able to be placed in a more physically demanding environment. While proper running technique remains the primary focus. All Star classes also incorporate a high level of strength training - utilizing various types of resistance, such as weights , rubber bands and chains - while athletics build power and explosiveness through plyometric exercises.

Revolution Athletics’ "Pro" classes are an hour long. Our program is designed specifically for the athlete to maximize athletic potential. 

All workouts are built to focus on the individual athletes needs and based upon the sports they play, as well as their specific strengths and weaknesses. The program will focus on proper techniques for speed & strength training, while improving force production, explosiveness, agility, strength, balance, stability, and more. What truly makes our program different from all the rest is not only the superior training staff but also the ability of our trainers to educate the athletes “why” they are doing something.

Each trainer explains and educates our athletes on the purpose of the drill or exercise they are focusing on. This allows the athlete to gain a more in-depth understanding of the exercise, motivating our athletes to work harder allowing them to transfer this knoweldge of a drill or technique onto the field in their sport.

The College program at Revolution Athletics incorporates the most innovative training techniques in the industry to keep our athletes on top of their game. With talking with our prior college clients, our programs are designed to further advance their athletic abilities both on the field and in the weight room. As a collegiate athlete, you must be on top of your game consistently if you are to compete with the best in the country. Revolution Athletics offers two different types of off-site team training:

Speed & Agility Training (can also be completed in our facility):

At Revolution Athletics, we know the value of team camaraderie and its importance to having a successful season. Our team training programs will facilitate all your teams’ needs to improve their overall speed, strength, and conditioning. Revolution Athletics will customize training programs according to the age, sport, skill level, and specific strengths and weaknesses of a particular team.

Our team Programs are built the same way a teacher builds a lesson plan. Each workout has objectives, key points and goals. This increases the progression of the programs faster. Anyone can put athletes through a grouping of exercises and drills but Revolution Athletics takes it one step further and educates our athletes. Athletes will learn the proper technique and purpose behind each exercise and drill they are asked to perform. This allows an athlete to connect to the exercise and focus on their specific weaknesses. The athletes will also learn how each exercise and drill will help them perform at a higher level in their sport. These teaching methods are what motivates and helps the athletes accel when training. 

Strength & Conditioning Training:

Customized strength and speed programs can be created for your team, where factors such as sport, team-size, facilities/equipment available, and time frame will all be accounted for, and will be geared towards peaking right before the season starts. Trainers can demonstrate how the training session should run, as well as proper technique for all exercises, and can be available to run the weight room or speed sessions with the coaching staff. Individual skill levels and training status/age will also be accounted for, and programs can be customized and progressed for the varying levels of athlete on the team. Various training modalities will be used such as accomodating resistance, progressive loading, dynamic effort, active release techniques, as well as balance and prehab work.

 
 
 

 

The lineman academy

DESCRIPTION

The lineman academy is a football program designed to focus on the needs of offensive and defensive linemen. The former NFL guard and Revolution Athletics speed and agility coach, Golden Ukonu, is now Long islands developmental offensive and defensive linemen coach for athletes from the youth level to the professional level.

The linemen academy’s focus is to mold linemen on and off the field. From detailed position specific training, film study and breakdown, academic guidance, nutrition, and recruiting highlight filming. Training for the defensive and offensive line must be done with the utmost focus and environment to be comfortable to perfect the craft of the athlete.

The Academy offers athletes a state of the art facility and specific equipment tailored to the position to create the most efficient linemen training, position training, strength training, and recovery sessions are conveniently held in the same facility.
